Before beginning, please make sure you have done the following:

√ Chosen a host to upload all your files on. Try Free File Hosting at Filexoom.com or view more here for a list of hosts to choose from. Once you sign up, please upload your mp3 files on the host of your choice. You will need the direct urls for those files for the xml playlist code.

√ Chosen a player skin to use, this will be your swf file. You can select some Jeroen Skins from here. You will need to upload your swf file onto the same host as your xml file which will be your xml playlist code.

√ You'll need an HTML editing program. If your computer is operating Windows XP then use Notepad to edit the xml playlist code. Mac users can download NotePad 2.5 for Mac to edit the xml playlist code (thank you Brandi for finding this)

If you have done all the above then you're ready to begin. The following instructions will be for the Jeroen Flash Mp3 Player. Copy and paste the XML code below into Notepad. You will edit the colored fields shown in the example, once you're done editing the playlist code save it as mp3playlist.xml.

Notes:

showDisplay:

yes - players top display will be visible

no - will hide the players top display



showPlaylist:

yes - will display the playlist

no - will hide the playlist



autoStart:

yes - automatically starts the player

no - player will not auto start

random - player auto starts on a random track

Upload the saved xml code and your swf file onto the same host. From your host, retrieve the url's for those two files and place them into the embed code below. The embed can be placed any where on your profile.
