![]() ![]() Player created by: Fabricio Zuardi Tutorial by: FReDDY Iz B a DD If you would like a Slim XSPF Player then click here. If you would like a Playlist Only XSPF Player then click here. Before beginning, please make sure you have done the following: √ Chosen a host to upload all your files on. Try Free File Hosting at Filexoom.com or view more here for a list of hosts to choose from. Once you sign up, please upload your mp3 files on the host of your choice. You will need the direct urls for those files for the xml playlist code. √ Chosen a player skin to use, this will be your swf file. You can select some XSPF Skins from here. You will need to upload your swf file onto the same host as your xml file which will be your xml playlist code. √ You'll need an HTML editing program. If your computer is operating Windows XP then use Notepad to edit the xml playlist code. Mac users can download NotePad 2.5 for Mac to edit the xml playlist code (thank you Brandi for finding this) If you have done all the above then you're ready to begin. The following instructions will be for the Full XSPF Player. With the full XSPF Player you will be able to add album art and song/artist info for each track. Copy and paste the following code into Notepad < Notes: √ location: Place your mp3 urls there. Make sure that you use mp3's only and no other audio format. If you have CD's then you can use your Windows Media Player to convert songs from your CD's over to mp3. You can also download this Free Mp3 Converter. All mp3 urls should end in .mp3 or they will not work. √ image: You will need to use jpeg/jpg images for them to display in the album art box. You can use the same host you signed up with to host your images for the album art. No matter what the size of the image is it will automatically resize to fit the box the album art displays in. You can try searching on albumart.org for images. √ annotation: Pretty simple, this is where you add the name of the mp3 track. Name of the band/artist along with the track name. √ info: Here you can add the link to the artists website or perhaps a link to the tracks lyrics. Google search for lyric pages to link to. Note: The info/lyric button will not work on Myspace due to the links in flash filter. If you want to retain the album art without the non-working button and or empty space then leave out the info tags in the xml code and set the height to "155" in the embed code. Once you're done editing the playlist code you will then save it from Notepad. save it as mp3playlist.xml or if you wish to have your player start on a random track then save the playlist as mp3playlist.xspf. In the embed codes list below you will need add your swf and xml urls where it is highlighted in blue. Make sure you upload both files onto the same host. Copy and paste this code into your profile. (embed code for xml saved playlists). Edit the fields in blue. <
